FROSTY MORN I created this marsh scene using reverse sand carving techniques. The background was carved first, in stages, to suggest the flow of the water. The heron and the marsh grasses were lightly shaded to give them depth. This piece was photographed with a black background and areas that appear dark are actually clear. Shown with an oak frame.
