The blue and white opalescent glass that I selected for this piece has an iridescent surface that shimmers different colors in reflected light. I used a light blue textured waterglass for the background and a highly textured clear ripple glass for the splash. I used a drop of solder for the eye and soldered on a piece of wire for the gill.
